The tragedy of Titanic's maiden voyage continues to haunt and inspire the world. The crew at the Cape Race Marconi Station were part of the Titanic's experience as passengers sent close to 300 messages back and forth between the ship and shore. On April 15, 2011 the Receiving Titanic partners held a respectful 99th anniversary commemoration of Titanic's tragic loss off Cape Race. One of the highlights was a recreation of the distress signal that went from Titanic to Cape Race to Heart's Content to the world. This video features the recreation and Morse code skills of the Newfoundland wireless community.
This world class facility on Signal Hill in St. John’s tells the geological history of Newfoundland, Labrador, and planet earth. Glaciers and icebergs are part of this geological history and the GeoCentre’s Titanic exhibit is very popular. It boasts a well written series of panels with artifacts that walk the visitor through the tragedy.
The provincial museum of Newfoundland and Labrador (The Rooms) is a prominent part of the St. John’s skyline. From April to September, 2012 the Rooms will be exhibiting the lifejacket from the last Titanic body recovered and other artifacts from debris left after the tragedy.
The fossils at this site capture some of the early moments of complex life on earth. Efforts are under way to have Mistaken Point declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visitors need to visit the Portugal Cove South Interpretation Center to meet a government guide prior to any site visit.
RMS Titanic is a subsidiary of Premier Exhibitions, Inc. and serves as the exclusive steward of RMS Titanic. This in-depth site lets you follow expeditions, exhibitions, artifacts, and more. The news at the end of 2011 was that RMS Titanic’s owner, Premiere Expeditions is planning an auction of its collection of artifacts taken during seven research and recovery expeditions to the gravesite 350 miles off Cape Race which took place between 1987 and 2004. The collection was valued at US$189 Million.

Following Titanic's loss off Cape Race, Newfoundland some of the recovered bodies were taken to Nova Scotia for burial. Many artifacts and documents from Cape Race can be viewed at the Maritime Museum in Halifax while Halifax is home to three Titanic graveyards.
The Trust works to preserve the heritage of RMS Titanic, her sister ships, and White Star line with an emphasis on respect and preservation of Titanic’s memory and artifacts.
During the summer of 2012 Titanic Expeditions is offering St. John’s based voyages to Titanic. More people have been to space than have been to Titanic.
